How to add a printer
* When you pick a printer from the list, make sure it DOES NOT have a green symbol at the end.  This is for Chromebooks Only. Mobility Print

Printing PDF Documents

1. Right click your downloaded PDF File.

2. OPEN WITH --> CHOOSE ANOTHER APP

3. Click on Adobe Acrobat DC

4. Check "Always use this app to open .pdf files

5. Click OK

Chromebook

* "unlock and restore local data" error message

  • If you remember your old password, enter it.
  • If not, click "I can't remember my password" and then click "proceed anyway" .
  • The user will then be able to log on and access all cloud based resources, but they won't be able to access any data stored on the Chromebook.

* Cannot connect to WiFi

  • Restart the Chromebook.

* Printing from a Chromebook

  • Must be logged into your MVRSD account to view these instructions [link]

* Screen Zoomed in but won't Zoom out

  • Try restarting the machine
  • Try to hold "Shift" + "-" key at the same time
  • If the first step doesn't work, go to Settings>Advanced>Accessibility>Manage>Turn off "enable full screen magnifier"
  • If none of the above work, fill out a HelpDesk Form[link] and include the account holder's name, building, grade (if staff, just building)

* Screen Sideways or Upside Down

  1. Hit ctrl+shift+refresh.
  2. The refresh key is the one with the spinning arrow (top row).
  3. It'll rotate the screen 90 degrees.

Laptop

* Cannot Connect to WiFi

  • Try restarting the machine.
  • Is the WiFi symbol orange (this is on the strip above your keyboard)? If YES, touch it to turn it green. If NO, restart your computer.
  • If the WiFi symbol is green and restarting did not connect you to the internet, does it work when plugged into an Ethernet cord (usually a blue cord) directly to the wall?

* Screen will not turn on

  • Try restarting the machine.
  • If there are no lights on the machine when you turn it on, plug the machine into the wall - wait 5 minutes - turn the laptop on again (the battery may have been low or can no longer be charged)

Desktop

* Screen will not turn on

  • Try restarting the machine.
  • Is there a light on the power button of the monitor? If not, check that the power button is plugged into the wall and the connection on the monitor is not loose.
  • There is a light on the power button of the monitor but it is still dark? Wiggle the mouse, it might be asleep.
  • Not asleep and still dark? Check that the wire between the tower and the monitor did not become loose. This happens from time to time.

Forgot Password

  • First step: visit this website [link] and follow the instructions
  • If this does not work, have a coworker fill out a HelpDesk [link] on your behalf

Filter Emails

  • If you are receiving emails that you no longer want to receive, look at the bottom of the email for an "unsubscribe" button. Click on the link and follow the instructions to unsubscribe.
  • If the option to unsubscribe does not exist, then you can filter emails to delete when they are sent to you. Follow the instructions in this [link].

Calendar
Click on "Today" button but it goes to the wrong date
